Bavarian choir Vokalensemble Memmingen returns to Salò

Salò is prepar­ing to wel­come Thurs­day, June 8 at 9 p.m. the Vokalensem­ble Mem­min­gen, a Bavar­i­an choir that will per­form in the Sala dei Provved­i­tori (Palaz­zo del­la Mag­nifi­ca Patria). This is the 19th time the choir has vis­it­ed Salò, where it has estab­lished a rela­tion­ship of friend­ship and cul­tur­al exchange with the local San Car­lo Bor­romeo choir.

This is a mixed choir of young voic­es, found­ed 20 years ago by Hei­di Zapf, who is also its direc­tor. The choir has acquired an excel­lent rep­u­ta­tion with tra­di­tion­al and con­tem­po­rary songs, rang­ing from sacred to sec­u­lar reper­toire, from clas­si­cal to pop.

The con­cert pro­gram includes Ger­man love songs, rock and pop clas­sics and a jour­ney into the world of pop­u­lar musi­cals. “Let us enter­tain you” — this is the mot­to of the evening. You will be able to lis­ten to music that is emo­tion­al and reflec­tive, but also wit­ty and live­ly.

Admis­sion to the con­cert is free. This is an oppor­tu­ni­ty to appre­ci­ate the beau­ty of choral music and to get clos­er to Ger­man cul­ture, in an atmos­phere of cel­e­bra­tion and shar­ing.
